​Trusted Dog & Cat Boarding, Over 25 Years, Ely

1. The Owner warrants that the animal(s) being boarded is/are in a fit & healthy condition.

2. All Cats & Dogs being boarded are required to be fully vaccinated, with certificates being produced on arrival; otherwise, boarding will be refused, and no refund of any deposit paid will be given. Cats are to be vaccinated against Feline Enteritis & Cat Flu. Dogs are to be vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parvovirus. Dogs must also be vaccinated against “Kennel Cough” a minimum of 14 days prior to boarding, if not already covered. Vaccinations must cover the whole of the boarding term.
 
NO ENTIRE MALE CATS OVER 6 MONTHS OLD WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR BOARDING.
ALL PETS, BY LAW, MUST BE MICROCHIPPED, AND A CERTIFICATION MUST BE PRODUCED
 
3. Whilst every care will be given to pets, ACK will not be held responsible for any illness, loss or damage to the animal, however caused, during their stay. Boarding is entirely at the Owner’s own risk. 
 
4. All pets are insured for Veterinary attention for the first 31 days of boarding. Bookings that go over 31 days will not be covered on ACK insurance once the first 31 days have lapsed. Pets are covered up to a maximum of £1500.00. Any further expenses will be charged to the Owner. ACK insurance excludes any current or recurrent illness or injury. It also excludes any injury caused by Owner’s dogs sharing a family kennel, and excludes injuries obtained by other dogs boarding at the premises. Further, dogs are not covered for injury whilst exercising off lead in the compound, permission for which will be deemed to be given unless stated otherwise & recorded at the time of registration. Should an animal need to be taken to the Vets for an illness or injury, not covered by ACK insurance, this will be charged @ a rate of £30.00 attendance per hour plus £2 per mile travelling costs, inclusive of VAT, both to & from the Vets. ACK reserves the right to take any animal boarded to the Owner’s Vet, in the 1st instance, or their chosen Vet if needs be, without the prior consent of the Owner, or their duly elected contact in their absence. Every effort will be made to keep the Owner, or their chosen contact, informed, as far as is possible.
 
5. “Vetbed” bedding, and a plastic bed are supplied to all boarders. Any bedding/toys/slow feeders left by the Owner are left at their own risk.
 
6. If not on ACK ACK-provided food, special dietary requirements will be administered as supplied and requested by the Owner. No reduction in boarding fees will be given for supplying your own food.
 
7. All reasonable efforts will be made to administer oral/subcutaneous medication or to apply external treatments as directed. This is subject to the Owner's unconditional agreement that ACK will not be held responsible/liable for any consequence whatsoever, however caused, in providing this service. If deemed necessary, veterinary assistance may be requested at the Owner’s cost without prior consultation. Administering medication out of work hours may incur an extra charge.
 
8. From time to time, photos and videos are taken of pets when boarding. This media is used as content on our Facebook page and website. Permission for this will be deemed as being given by the Owner, unless otherwise directed.
 
9. All bookings throughout the year are accepted & confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit. The booking balance is payable on arrival and registration of the pet.
 
10. Boarding fees are charged to include the day of arrival and the day of departure. Bookings falling over Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day attract a 50% uplift for each of those relevant days. Excess fees from extended stays are to be paid prior to such extension. Short overruns can be paid upon collection. In the event of any delay for collection, notification must be given ASAP, and alternative collection arrangements made. ACK reserves the right to retain any animal, charging for the extended stay until such time as the account is settled, or to dispose of the animal with a suitable rescue centre, if any account becomes overdue or if the animal is not collected within 7 days of the due payment and/or collection date.
 
11. Cancellation must be made with 14 clear days prior to the booked dates otherwise no refund of the deposit will be made. ALL cancelled bookings where a deposit has been paid will attract a £25 admin fee. No refunds will be given for reduced boarding terms once the boarding term has commenced. 
 
12. ACK reserves the right to add to and vary the above at anytime. However, the latest prevailing Terms & Conditions and Notices are always on view in the reception for inspection during the registration process.
